Superstar tennis player, Serena Williams has become the world’s richest female athlete and the first to be included in Forbes’ list of the World’s Richest Self-Made Women.
This powerful woman is the mother of 1-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia, with her husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian.

Serena who is a 23-time Grand Slam champion achieved this feat after amassing an estimated fortune of $224m (£177m).
Forbes revealed that the star invested in 34 startup businesses in the past five years alone estimated to be worth $10 million, which has seen her smiling to the bank.
Apart from prize money she made from winning numerous tournaments, she has endorsement deals with brands like HSN, Nike and a host of others.
Serena is a woman of outstanding business acumen which has seen her float her own clothing line S by Serena which became operational in 2018. She also owns stakes in the Miami Dolphins and UFC.
Her venture firm, Serena Ventures has been running since 2014 even though she announced the business publicly in April of 2019.
Opening up about her financial investments, Williams told Forbes: “I want to be in the infrastructure. I want to be the brand, instead of just being the face.”

Forbes further revealed that 60 percent of her invests are mostly in companies led by women or people of colour.
She has more than a dozen corporate partners, and her $89 million in career prize money is twice as much as any other female athlete.
