LeBron Raymone James Sr. leads the list of 2019 richest basketball players. The American plays for Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and is regarded by many as the greatest player of all time.

He has won three NBA championships, four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards, three NBA Finals MVP Awards, and two Olympic gold medals.

He has also played in fifteen NBA All-Star Games and also named NBA All-Star MVP three times. Apart from being the all-time NBA playoffs scoring leader, he won the 2008 NBA scoring title and is fourth in all-time career points scored. He holds the record of being voted onto the All-NBA First Team twelve times and the All-Defensive First Team five times.

In a list of world’s highest paid athletes of 2019 released by forbes, he was placed number eight on the list having earned a staggering $36 million from salary and $53 million from endorsements leaving him with a total of $89 million. In the list of richest basketball players, he is the number one.
